WVUH launches United Way campaign

Saturday, November 27, 2021

"Together, we can move mountains” – that’s the theme of this year’s United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties’ community campaign.

The United Way campaign goal is $1,200,000. Money raised will provide support for 26 local health and human service agencies.

From basic needs – like food, shelter, and clothing – to support for abuse victims, the elderly, and veterans, there are United Way programs and agencies that support those in need.

Over the years, WVU Medicine and its employees have contributed more than $2.2 million to the United Way of Monongalia and Preston counties. This year’s goal is to raise $150,000. The campaign kicks off Friday, Nov. 12, and continues through Friday, Dec. 24.

Contributions will help ensure the United Way continues to have the resources it needs to make a difference in the lives of those in our community.

The easiest way to make a donation is through the online ePledge system.Employees also have the option of completing a WVU Medicine United Way pledge card. It can be sent to Becky Wright through campus mail.

Note: WVU Medicine employees who do not live in Monongalia or Preston counties can designate their donation to their local United Way when they visit the online ePledge system.
