Friday, March 11, 2022

Did you know that West Virginia has one of the highest rates of kidney failure in the country and that kidney disease is among the leading causes of death for West Virginians? Of the more than 113,000 people in the U.S. waiting for an organ transplant, more than 95,000 are awaiting a kidney.

In this edition of Tuesday Talks, we’re talking about kidney disease and kidney transplants with Lynsey Biondi, MD, surgical director of kidney transplant for the WVU Medicine Transplant Alliance.
