Dear WVU Medicine colleagues,
We can all agree: the future has never felt so unpredictable. These are challenging times. But difficult times often bring out the best in people. I’ve seen that every day in our hospitals and clinics, since the start of the pandemic. You’ve risen to the challenge and continue to do so. You are resilient and strong.
While we are dedicated to serving our community by providing exceptional patient care, our commitment extends beyond the men, women, and children we serve. We have a responsibility to improve the health status and quality of life in the communities we serve.
And we are needed – like never before in our lifetime – to help those struggling right now. Many people are unemployed, relying on food banks, shelters, emergency financial assistance, and other social service programs to get through the day. Sure, these challenges existed before – but they have intensified due to the pandemic.
There are many ways to lend a helping hand – but one simple way is through supporting our local United Way.
Your contributions will help ensure that the United Way continues to have the resources it needs to make a difference in the lives of those in our community. The easiest way to make a donation is through the online ePledge system.
