Together, providers will have the ability to give an enhanced level of care to infants, children, and adolescents close to home. Providing these capabilities and best practices will allow Jackson General Hospital and WVU Medicine Children’s to ensure affordable, accessible, and comprehensive care for their most vulnerable patients.
“We are very pleased to partner with a variety of WVU Medicine Children’s pediatric specialists to enhance the great care we provide to the children of our community,” Stephanie McCoy, president and CEO of Jackson General Hospital, said. “Improved access to specialty services will help to assure that our pediatric patients can get the specialty care they need in a family-supported environment.”
This collaboration will provide state-of-the-art, nationally recognized pediatric care for families in the Jackson County through access to sub-specialty care, preventive care, research, and education programs.
“WVU Medicine Children’s and Jackson General share a dedication to improving children’s health,” Amy L. Bush, BSN, MBA, RN, CNOR, WVU Medicine Children’s chief operating officer, said. “We look forward to an alliance that will provide families access to the best of both of our organizations. Together, we will advance patient care by keeping children’s wellbeing at the center of all we do.”
