Virtual Pink Party
Monday, September 14, 2020
Event Location: Virtual
Although the world has changed in 2020, Bonnie’s Bus keeps rolling, and the need for its services continues to grow.
Bonnie's Bus is a mobile mammography unit that travels across West Virginia offering breast cancer screenings. The bus serves women who have private insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare, along with under- or uninsured women who qualify for the West Virginia Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program. Also, uninsured women living in West Virginia who are age 40 and older can receive a screening mammogram on the bus through the generosity of grant funding and donations.
Each year, a Pink Party is held as a fundraiser for Bonnie's Bus. This year, out of an abundance of caution, the decision has been made to host the annual Pink Party fundraiser virtually. Fellow supporters and friends of the WVU Cancer Institute can safely support Bonnie’s Bus and the women of West Virginia remotely, all while enjoying a fully interactive experience, including special presentations, contests, drawings and an auction.
Here are some event details:
