Tuesday, May 31, 2022
Spring is always a busy and exciting time at the School of Pharmacy. We want to thank the staff, faculty, students, parents, friends and donors who participate and make these joyous occasions possible on so many levels.
On April 22, the School held its Scholarship and Awards Convocation and the WVU Health Sciences Center. You can find a complete list of scholarships and recipients here.
On April 29, the School held its annual Bowl of Hygeia Ceremony. Each spring semester, students completing their third year of pharmacy coursework participate in this pinning ceremony to mark the beginning of the practice portion of the curriculum and the final year of their pharmacy education. You can read about the Class of 2023's event here.
Graduates participated in P4 Day before commencement, including a dinner at the Erickson Alumni Center on May 4. Class President Mary Catherine Platz presented "most likely to..." student awards as voted on by class members during the dinner. Speakers included Dean William Petros, Chancellor and Executive Dean, West Virginia University Health Sciences. Dr. Clay Marsh, Professor and Associate Dean for Admissions and Student Affairs, Dr. Mary Euler, SoP Alumni Coordinator and Clinical Associate Professor Betsy Elswick and SoP Director of Development Keven Tephabock.
