On June 8, WVU Medicine showed its support for racial equality, social justice and diversity by participating in White Coats for Black Lives, a national initiative aimed at eliminating racial bias in the practice of medicine and recognizing racism as a threat to the health and well being of people of color.

Providers and students gathered at noon in front of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital and at WVU Medicine University Town Centre, Berkeley Medical Center, and Jefferson Medical Center. The groups knelt for 8:46 minutes. Click here for a CONNECT photo gallery that includes images from the Ruby event. Click on each image to enlarge.
