Mandatory elevator testing at hospital underway
Thursday, October 15, 2020
Mandatory elevator testing will begin Monday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m. Service to elevators 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 in the main building of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital will be interrupted throughout the evening.
Testing will be spread out over three days -- Monday (Oct. 19), Tuesday (Oct. 20), and Thursday (Oct. 21) evenings. At times, there will be two cars in each bank down, and for a brief period, all three cars in a bank will be out of service. Elevators in the northeast and southeast towers will remain in service.
