Human Resources to introduce new performance evaluation process

Human Resources will soon be introducing a new Performance Management Evaluation tool and process throughout WVU Medicine. Some important features of this new tool and process include:
- Three primary components for evaluation: Job Duties, Competencies, and Goals
- Competencies evaluated: Stewardship and Quality Assurance, Adaptability and Resilience, Teamwork and Collaboration, and Communication and Relationship Building
- A new five-level rating scale: Unsatisfactory, Partially Meets Expectations, Meets Expectations, Meets and Sometimes Exceeds Expectations, and Outstanding
Employee evaluations will be completed Jan. 1 through March 31 of each year for the prior year’s performance, with the exception of Nursing which will begin Dec. 1.
