Hospital employees encouraged to park at Mountaineer Station II during WVU Commencement ceremonies May 15-16

West Virginia University, with the guidance of its COVID-19 advisory team, is planning in-person commencement ceremonies to take place (rain or shine) at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium for the Class of 2021. These ceremonies include the WVU School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy, School of Nursing, School of Dentistry, and School of Public Health.

Ceremonies will take place May 15-16 with COVID restrictions in effect. Masks and social distancing will be required.

The schedule is as follows:

Saturday, May 15 at 9 a.m.
  • Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources
  • College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences
  • Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design
  • Reed College of Media
Saturday, May 15 at 2 p.m.
  • College of Creative Arts
  • Eberly College of Arts and Sciences
Sunday, May 16 at 9 a.m.
  • College of Education and Human Services
  • John Chambers College of Business and Economics
Sunday, May 16 at 2 p.m.
  • College of Law
  • School of Dentistry
  • School of Medicine
  • School of Nursing
  • School of Pharmacy
  • School of Public Health

Each ceremony will consist of at least 2,000 to 3,000 students and their families. All employee parking will be made available to those students’ families during these times, including the following lots: A1/A2, A3, B1, E, F1-F4, and the Willowdale Parking Garage.

All WVUH employees are urged to park in the new Mountaineer Station II Garage on those dates.

All patient and visitor parking will remain uninterrupted during the commencement ceremonies.
