Employees can support Rosenbaum Family House with wish list items

Monday, August 30, 2021

In celebration of the Aug. 29 birthday of Rosenbaum Family House’s founding donor, Hilda Rosenbaum, WVU Medicine employees are invited to support her dream by donating wish list or other items to the House.

Rosenbaum Family House has remained open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, continuing to serve WVU Medicine families in the 40-room facility. Even with the restrictions placed on the House, it continues to provide pre-boxed meals three nights a week from the Bee Hive Café (part of PACE Enterprises) and help-yourself food items, as well other items to help make guests more comfortable.

Now, in its 22nd year of operation, the Rosenbaum Family House continues to be a home away from home for adult WVU Medicine patients and their families. Building the Morgantown House was Hilda’s dream, as she learned firsthand the hardship of out-of-town hospital stays through her children's fight with cystic fibrosis.

Along with wish list items, employees can make financial donations to help support the meal program, or adopt a day/week in honor or memory of a loved one and help support families who are unable to pay for their stay. Drop items by the House, ship them directly (30 Family House Drive, Morgantown, WV 26506), or call 304-598-6094, Opt. 1 for more information.
