Join WVU Medicine’s Diabetes Education Center and Wellness Center in March to celebrate National Nutrition Month. This March, the Diabetes Education Center will offer the Nutrition Made Simple class series to promote healthy eating. This series, held March 13, March 20, and March 27, includes three classes that focus on basic nutrition to prevent diabetes, meal planning for individuals and families, and making healthy choices at the grocery store. Employees that attend all three Nutrition Made Simple classes will be entered into a grand prize drawing.
The March 13 class is "Basic Nutrition to prevent Diabetes."
During the Basic Nutrition to Prevent Diabetes, participants will:
- Learn basic nutrition to help lower risk for developing chronic diseases, such as diabetes
- Receive recipes and example meal plans
Cost: 3 Wellness Points/class for employees; $3/class for spouses
