Nine WVU Medicine leaders graduate from WVHA Leadership Academy

Twenty state healthcare professionals are recent graduates of the West Virginia Hospital Association (WVHA) Leadership Academy, and WVU Medicine employees comprised nearly half of the program’s Class of 2019.

The nine WVU Medicine leaders participating in the nine-month program represented several West Virginia University Health System hospitals.

The 2019 WVU Medicine WVHA Leadership Academy graduates are:

  • Erica Batton, WVUHS Manager of Ambulatory Services

  • Valerie Boley, WVUH Nursing Director of Emergency Medicine

  • Misti Elmore, SJH Director of Emergency and Outpatient Services

  • Tad Greene, WCH Director of Operations

  • Melissa Lowther, UHC Manager of Medical/Surgical Oncology

  • Melanie McMillen, WVUH Administrative Director at Chestnut Ridge Center

  • April Oakes, WVUHS Director of Value Based Payment and Contracting

  • Sean Smith, CCMC Vice President of Business Development

  • Jeff Tabor, JGH Director of Plant Operations and Human Resources
