Donate Life Month Ceremony
Friday, April 20, 2018
Event Location: Bruce McClymonds Conference Center, southeast tower, J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital
National Donate Life Month is celebrated each April. WVU Medicine is commemorating the occasion with a Donate Life Month flag-raising ceremony Friday, April 20, from 1-2 p.m.
During the month of April, those who have received transplants and those who continue to wait are honored, along with donors and their families. It is also a time to recognize registered donors for their life-changing contributions.
The ceremony will begin with a presentation in the Bruce McClymonds Conference Center and will continue in front of the main entrance to J.W. Ruby memorial Hospital with the flag-raising.
WVU Medicine employees are encouraged to wear green and blue on this day to promote the success of organ, eye, and tissue transplant and the dire need for registered donors.
Speakers will be announced at a later date.
More information about organ, eye, and tissue donation can be found at the Donate Life America website.
